This unique opportunity partners the right candidate with our College Director to teach incoming students class material related to Pharmacy Technician curricula and employer expectations.
As a Pharmacy Technician Instructor, you will be required to teach the techniques required to calculate dosages and to order, stock, package and prepare medications, including hands-on training. Institute of Technology’s Pharmacy Technician program focuses not only on teaching skills important to the field, but also helps students develop interpersonal and communication skills.

Key elements of the position:
- Update syllabus for each course assigned, distribute a class syllabus to all students within the first two class sessions and submit a copy to the Director of Education.
- Include specific learning objectives expressed in behavioral terms.
- Teach the depth and scope of the class material as outlined in the syllabus.
- Relate instruction to careers and employers’ expectations.
- Prepare, administer and grade examinations based upon course objectives.
- Work creatively to discourage student withdrawal in all classes taught.
- Begin class at the designated time and provide a full period of instruction for the class period involved.
- Leave the classroom or laboratory clean, organized and ready for the module.
- Submit, at designated time, final grades for all students and maintain weekly grade sheets.
- Accurately enter attendance on the attendance roster indicating a student’s presence in their class.
- Call all students who are absent more than two days and report pertinent information to the Student Success Leader.
- Attend communication meetings, faculty meetings, in-service sessions, student orientation, graduation and other school events as required by the school.
- Dress professionally in accordance with faculty dress code.
- Tutor students who are having difficulty with course material.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Education and /or College Director.
Position Requirements
- 3 years experience as a pharmacy technician/clerk. Position is P/T Evenings, Monday -Thursday
