Institute of Technology seeks a Director of Education to join their team.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in helping to create and drive the programs at Institute of Technology.  The Director of Education will assist in the fulfillment of educational goals of the school by directing departmental educational planning, providing faculty leadership and guiding educational programs.

Key elements of the position:

  • Oversee curriculum development, including implementation of any approved changes consistent with ACCSCT accreditation or the Department of Education requirements.
  • Verify that curricula are delivered consistently as to content, scope and sequence on each campus.
  • Participate in quarterly program-specific meetings between campuses.
  • Propose curriculum changes based on input from instructors, program directors, advisory boards, admissions, and employment services as well as industry trends.
  • Develop and implement new programs.
  • Assist with the hiring and training of all instructional staff members.
  • Assist with instructor advising in coordination with the College Director or Division Directors.
  • Evaluate textbooks, instructional equipment and training tools to determine quality and effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist with the evaluation of library effectiveness and recommend changes where necessary.
  • Promote and develop articulation agreements with other institutions of higher learning.
  • Assist administration in preparation of State and Accrediting Reports where necessary.
  • Participate in community committees and visit employers to assist with placement and curriculum development.
  • Perform faculty and classroom evaluations as needed to determine compliance with educational standards and educational quality in the classroom.
  • Participate in communication, placement and management meetings; in-service sessions; executive team meetings; graduation; and other school events as required by the Campus Director.

Position Requirements-  Bachelor’s Degree, Minimum 2 yrs. in vocational ed, experience, minimum 3 yrs. in managment experience.

Chuck Bryant, Career Services Advisor 

Chuck spent over seven years as an Employment Readiness Specialist with Workforce Connection, a WIA contract provider. Chuck is well-know to the IOT family in Clovis, as he sent many of his clients to our school for employment readiness training. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Education at Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois, and his Master of Arts in Educational Counseling and Student Services from California State University, Fresno.

Jeanne Whitney, Director of Career Services 

Jeanne has eight years of experience in proprietary education, including four years experience leading a career services team. She has been a volunteer with Make A Wish Foundation since 2002. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Fresno.
