High School Admission Representative - Clovis, Modesto & Roseville

Apply your excellent communication skills toward helping recent high school graduates find their career paths. Institute of Technology is looking for talented and energetic people to fill our new High School Admissions Representative position at our Clovis, Modesto and Roseville campuses.

The right candidates must have great phone and interviewing skills and a proven ability to meet goals. Position is responsible for conducting career planning meetings with high school seniors and parents, directing students in the enrollment process, and connecting students to campus resources. Min. 3 years experience in sales, admissions experience preferred, AA/AS Degree required; bilingual a plus. 

Recruiting students for our programs requires a customer-focused attitude, an ability to meet challenges head-on and a passion for changing lives through education. This position requires the flexibility to work evening and occasional weekend hours.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Traveling to high schools and speaking with students and parents about their futures and career goals.  
  • Delivering persuasive and informational presentations to high school groups.  
  • Recruit high school students for IOT programs by responding to incoming calls from inquiring students; providing program information.
  • Conduct face-to-face interviews, telephone interviews and e-mail correspondence to prospective students to determine their educational needs, concerns and interests.
  • Addresses any issues or concerns raised by students or parents of students regarding cost, financing, dress code, curriculum, tutoring, testing procedures, or cancellation policy.
  • Closely assist and mentor students through admissions process.
  • Conduct follow-up calls to ensure enrollment
  • Effectively and accurately communicate school policies, processes, and procedures relating to the various student support services including part-time and graduate employment, financial aid, etc.
  • Verbally communicate approved presentations to promote programs to prospective adult and high school students.
  • Actively generate personal referrals.
  • Maintains records of calls made, calls received, and issues/concerns addressed.
  • Participate in school retention efforts maintaining productive contact with his/her active students through graduation.
  • Actively participate in special recruiting promotional activities.

Required Skills

  • College degree in marketing, business or related area preferred or a minimum of 3 years direct sales experience in admissions, recruiting or other intangible sales.
  • Bi-lingual a plus.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with a diverse customer base.
  • Must be a competent administrator and a self-starter and have the ability to work with little supervision.
  • Must also be a team player, willing to share and exchange information and ideas.
  • Must have the ability to make ethical decisions, doing what is always best for the students as well as the Company.

Admissions Representative-Clovis Campus

Institute of Technology is looking for Admissions Representatives to join their team.  This is an interesting opportunity for someone interested in a fast-paced career.  As an Admissions Representative you’ll be responsible for meeting or exceeding start objectives, maintaining the school database, and providing accurate information to prospective students.

Key elements of the position:

  • Meet or exceed Institute of Technology’s start goals.
  • Give honest and precise information to prospective students.
  • Meet with prospective students and provide them with a tour of the campus.
  • Maintain regular contact with prospective students.
  • Maintain admissions database.
  • Prepare and obtain signatures from prospective students on all admissions documents.
  • Call all leads on a daily basis to make appointments, follow up on appointments or reschedule appointments.
  • Monitor new students’ attendance for the first two weeks of class.  Follow up with new students to assist in ensuring their comfort with their choice of institutions.
  • Contribute to the department ideas for marketing, promotions or advertisements.
  • Assist with the front desk when needed.
  • Obtain WIA referrals, Letters of Authorizations, and Skills Training Contracts as required.
  • Attend staff meetings, in-service sessions, student orientation, graduation, and other school events as required by school.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
