Director of Financial Aid (Modesto and Clovis Campuses)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Campus President, the Financial Aid Director is responsible for administrating the financial aid programs in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Oversee the accurate and complete packaging of all financial aid eligible students, which involves obtaining all necessary documentation including, but not limited to verification, valid ISIRS, professional judgment documentation, clearing all “C” codes immediately upon receipt of the ISIR, and loan reference sheets and ensuring all files are properly processed to third party FA provider.

2. Establish and maintain audit ready files including, but not limited to:

- File all financial aid paperwork including satisfactory progress documentation

- MPN

- File documentation of aid receipt

- POG

- Entrance and Exit interviews

- No conflicting information

- All other applicable items on the FA file checklist

3. Utilize document tracking in Transcripts to identify any missing items in files including improper documentation of satisfactory progress issues.

4. Approve accuracy and compliance with Department of Education standards for federal work-study paperwork for assigned students.

5. Approve all dependency overrides.

6. Oversee the packaging of re-entry, fresh start and transfer students.

7. Oversee proper administration of SEOG funds.

8. Update database with changes during enrollment, including revisions due to crossover or corrected funding.

9. Assist with overflow for packaging, returning file to the appropriate party.

10. Oversee voter registration information distribution.

11. Review SAP and SPR reports weekly and forward to corporate office per schedule.

12. Review and track Title IV cash-flow reports.

13. Oversee consumer information distribution.

14. Participate in meetings with the College President to review document tracking issues and outstanding cash.

15. Participate in communication meetings, in-service sessions, student orientation, graduation, and other school events as required by the school.

16. Participate in Financial Aid employee performance evaluations with Campus President.

17. Abide by the policies and procedures as outlined in the Best Practices.

18. Other miscellaneous duties and reports as required by the College President.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

The Financial Aid Director shall demonstrate experience and education commensurate with the responsibilities of the position. The Financial Aid Director must attend a State approved financial aid workshop and receive state certification when appropriate.
